Wheat Free Diet
Some people are recommended to follow a wheat free diet by their doctors, others find that a wheat free diet suits their body and their lifestyle better than a diet containing wheat. In either case all gluten free products will automatically be wheat free as well.
Some grains are forms of wheat – such as spelt, durum (used to make pastas) and kamut and should be avoided.
Other grains – such as rye, barley and oats do not contain wheat, but depending on how they are grown, harvested and processed it is possible that they may become contaminated with wheat. We would recommend that you contact the food manufacturer if you are in any doubt. Contact us at enquiries@spoff.co.uk
If you are following a gluten free or a wheat free diet – always read the food labels carefully. In processed food wheat may well be “hidden”, however food labelling now requires all ingredients to be listed.
